Somali army thwarts terrorist attack in Mogadishu

The Somali army thwarted a car bomb attack in Mogadishu, based on intelligence information.

Radio Voice of the Army in Somalia stated that the Special Forces carried out a successful military operation in Toratoro town, Lower Shabelle Governorate, and thwarted a car bomb attack.

The radio quoted the commander of the Somali army, Adwar Youssef Raghi, as saying that the operation resulted in the complete destruction of the car bomb and the liquidation of its driver, adding that the car was heading to Mogadishu to carry out a terrorist attack in it, adding that intelligence information obtained by the armed forces led to the thwarting of the attack.
