Firmino: I do not know the reason for the decline in their form and Liverpool will return to the titles next season

Brazilian Roberto Firmino, the Liverpool striker, confirmed that he did not know the reason for his decline in the current season and the lack of his goals, indicating at the same time that he promises the fans the return of the Reds to the titles next season.

Speaking to ESPN, Firmino said: "Frankly, I do not know the reason, perhaps this is the destiny of God. Perhaps my decline is due to collective performance in a difficult circumstance, but I have faith and that things will improve."

"In general, it is a difficult season for us, after we came from a successful season of winning the League and the Club World Cup. We have to keep fighting and improve every day and improve defensively, tactically and offensively," Firmino added.

And he continued, saying about Liverpool's chance to qualify for the Champions League: "I do not know, but everything can happen in football and we still have the opportunity. We will fight to the end to be within the top victory and qualify for the Champions League."

He continued: "We will return next season better and work hard to try to achieve the title I promise you that we will work hard to be champions again, we still have battles and goals that we must achieve and we must fight to ensure the end of the season in the best way."

He concluded by saying, "I prefer goals or industry? I enjoy both, but I like to score goals, to be honest, I am a goalscorer so I love scoring goals and it is a unique feeling when you score and celebrate with the fans, the feeling of scoring goals is something special."
