Approving the estimated budget for 12 water holding companies for the fiscal year 2021-2022

Today, the general assemblies of 12 companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation were held, which are (Minya - Fayoum - Damietta - Kafr El-Sheikh - Beni Suef - Beheira - Menoufia - Dakahlia - North and South Sinai - Red Sea - drinking water in Alexandria - drinking water in Cairo). A video conference, chaired by Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, President of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and President of the General Assembly of Drinking Water and Sanitation Companies, and in the presence of representatives of the Central Auditing Organization to discuss the estimated budget of the companies.


The assembly agreed to adopt the estimated budget for the companies for the fiscal year 2021-2022.


The head of the Holding Company for Drinking Water stressed the importance of activating the procedures for activating collection, and reducing the amount of water that is not accountable for, by expanding the installation of meters, eliminating illegal connections, and performing standard maintenance at all stations and cranes, within the framework of the interest of the political leadership and the Ministry of Housing in the drinking water and sanitation sector. health and improve services provided to citizens.


The head of the holding company assigned the heads of subsidiaries to continuously and daily follow up on the initiative's projects, update the executive position on a regular basis, and coordinate with all executive bodies, and that the initiative's projects be a top priority for companies during the coming period.


He pointed to the necessity of developing the performance of the subsidiaries, at the administrative and technical levels, activating energy rationalization measures and expanding the use of renewable energy, and developed a plan to measure the amount of water produced from the stations by 100% by the end of the year.


He stressed the obligation to scrutinize the recording of meter readings to reflect the actual consumption of citizens, and to control the measurement of wastage rates between the amount of water produced from the stations and the water sold.


Engineer Mamdouh Raslan directed the heads of the subsidiaries to intensify efforts and make utmost efforts to ensure the provision of a distinguished service to citizens, pointing to the need for full cooperation with all executive and government agencies, and communication with citizens and the speed of resolving complaints received by hotlines, mobile phone application 125 or communication pages. And emphasizing that all precautionary and preventive measures and social distancing are followed in customer service centers and various work sites that need to deal with the public.
