Moroccan Wydad reveals for the seventh day the possibility of Al-Karty and Gibran moving to Zamalek

An official source in the Moroccan Wydad Club revealed to “The Seventh Day” the possibility of the team duo “Yahya Gibran and Walid Al-Karty” moving to Zamalek in the summer transfer period, after recent nominations regarding the transfer of the duo to Mit Oqba Castle.

The source confirmed to the seventh day that at the present time, the Moroccan club’s management has stopped any negotiations about any of the team’s players to focus only on the African Champions League competitions, as Saeed Al-Nasiri, the president of the Moroccan club, at the present time refuses to open any file within the club except to focus only on the African championship, so Things remain just nominations without negotiation, explaining that if Zamalek wants to include the duo, he will have to wait until the Moroccan team finishes those competitions and then negotiate their inclusion.

The Moroccan Wydad team qualified for the semi-finals of the African Champions League after defeating Mouloudia Algiers with a goal free of charge at the "Mohamed V" stadium, in Casablanca in the second leg of the quarter-finals of the competition. Walid El Karti scored Wydad's only goal in added time of the match.

The first leg match that brought the two teams together at the "July 5" stadium in the Algerian capital ended in a 1-1 draw, so that Wydad qualified for the semi-finals with a total of two matches 2-1. With that result, Wydad will face in the semi-finals of the African Champions League, its counterpart Kaizer Chiefs. The South African, who overcame Simba of Tanzania with a total of 4-3 matches, Wydad had reached the quarter-finals at the top of Group C, while Mouloudia was ranked fourth in Group D.
