Iraq and Bahrain discuss strengthening joint cooperation in various fields

The Iraqi Chargé d'Affairs to Bahrain, Muhammad Adnan Mahmoud, discussed, on Friday, with the Bahraini Assistant Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Faisal bin Jabr Al-Dosari, ways to enhance joint relations between the two countries.


A statement by the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during the meeting, they discussed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and many topics and issues of common interest. The Chargé d'Affairs expressed his pride and appreciation for the development of brotherly relations in various fields, wishing Bahrain continued prosperity and prosperity.


For his part, the Bahraini Assistant Foreign Minister expressed his pride in the brotherly relations between Bahrain and Iraq, pointing out his country's aspiration to strengthen these relations and advance them to broader horizons at all levels for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.


In another context, the Iraqi Security Media Cell announced today that it had thwarted a second attempt to detonate an explosive device and an explosive belt on one of the electricity poles on the island of Tikrit.


The cell said - in a statement - "The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior managed to thwart an attempt to detonate an explosive belt and an explosive device placed on one of the poles carrying electric power in the village of Jawza on Tikrit Island in Salah al-Din Governorate."


She added that "the explosive device and the explosive belt were dismantled by the experts of the Explosive Control Directorate."
