Al-Ahly hand defeats the Olympic 36/48 friendly in preparation for the African Cups

The men’s handball team in Al-Ahly Club, led by its technical director, Tarek Mahrous, defeated its Olympic counterpart, with a score of 35/48, in the second friendly confrontation in its closed camp in Alexandria, in preparation for participation in the African Cup for Clubs Champions Cup, scheduled for the period from 24 August to 2 September.

Al-Ahly is scheduled to meet with its counterpart Al-Ahly Bank tomorrow, after facing Smouha yesterday, and finally the owners of horses on the 18th of the same month.


The delegation of the first handball team in Al-Ahly Club will leave for Morocco on August 21 to participate in the African Cup Winners Club Championship.


The list of clubs participating in the tournament includes: Ivorian Red Star, Al-Ahly of Egypt, SFA of Senegal, Fab of Cameroon, Inter Club of Angola, Wedad Samara of Morocco, Rima of Nigeria and GSK of Congo.


Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Handball decided to postpone the African Super match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which was scheduled for August 18 in Cairo, at the request of the two clubs in order to rest the internationals, to be held on September 10.
