Tunisia: 3 illegal immigration operations thwarted

Units of the Maritime Guard provinces in the south, coast and center of Tunisia managed to thwart 3 illegal immigration operations across the maritime borders, rescued 35 people, including 20 migrants of different African nationalities, and the rest were Tunisians from different states of the republic, according to Tunisian Radio Shams, quoting a Guard spokesman. National Hossam Al-Jabali.

The National Guard units operating in the Goulette, Mahdia, Nabeul and Sousse regions managed, as part of pre-emptive operations, to seize 16 people who intended to participate in an illegal immigration operation.

Al-Jabali added that, with the advice of the Public Prosecution, I authorized taking the necessary measures in their regard.
